On May 25/26, Bishop Barry Howe, Assisting Bishop, Diocese of SWFL, and his wife Mary, joined St. Michael's in Celebration of Confirmation, Reception into the Episcopal Church and Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows.
A Mission team from St. Michael and All Angels spent an invigorating week in February (2013) at El Hogar Schools in Honduras. (To read more about the trip see THE RED DOOR April 2013)
Noah's Ark Volunteers once again put on a spectacular show. Approximately 145 women and men showed up to see the latest styles that Noah's Ark has to offer. All items modeled were for sale after the show.
What a blessing during the Christmas services to have such beautiful children offering their gifts to God. With stings, voices and so many helping hands. Christmas praise and thanksgiving was a delight to behold. Thank you to all the parents.

The Episcopal Church Women of St. Michael's Church celebrated the Christmas season at their luncheon, Dec. 10. Christmas music was played, carols were sung and Santa stopped by. "Laces of Love" were also there to share about their organization.
Everyone in the parish was invited to sing carols and seasonal songs to the residents of Shell Point's Pavilion.
On Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 the parishioners of St. Michael's celebrated the 10th Anniversary of Ellen Sloan's Ordination into the priesthood.

Rev. Dr. Ellen Sloan, Rector, presided over the annual Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 6. In attendance were six dogs, one cat in a travel box, and one wild cat hiding under the church steps.
Ralph and Ellen Sloan hosted the first family BBQ at their home. All the children and youths and their family were invited to this fun-filled day.
Annual Bag Day at Noah's Ark is one of the highlights of the year here on Sanibel. Bag Day marks the end of the season (mid-August) and allows the volunteers to clean out the store and prepare for the new season (October)
